African Union Warns Against CAR Takeover

The AU has said it rejects any attempt to seize power by force, or the recourse to armed rebellion to further political claims.

 

Although President Francois Bozize has told an AU envoy he is ready to form a national unity government with the rebels, the rebels are reported by the BBC to have rejected the offer.
