Better Wage for South African Farmworkers?
The country's labour minister is expected to make an announcement soon on the new minimum wage for farmworkers that will hopefully put an end to the weeks of industrial action that’s affected production at wine farms in the Cape. Thousands of farmworkers have demanded a wage increase from R69 to R150 per day.
