To the issue emerging from politics, and mostly that of the political leaders. The disastrous effect is everytime placed on the commoners (citizen). As a result of this never consider the disadvantages in forming a coalition party

Should anyone believe IBB that he really believes that a two party system is good for Nigeria's political system? I know I even said that this merger had some positive points to it, but it can also open the door to having managed opposition, that is if the APC succeeds with its ideological differences. The United States is a fantastic example of a nation with two political parties in practice. Many Americans now see that there is little difference between the Republican and Democratic parties beyond rhetoric. I believe the same will come out with the APC and the PDP. It is a form of giving the electorate the illusion of choice on some superficial ideologically based topic but never really challenging one another on issues facing the general public. You can call this a two headed one party system.
