What perplexes me about Dangote is the fact that he keeps borrowing from Nigerian banks without paying back (see for instance his billions borrowings that contributed to the distress of so many local banks which came to light when Sanusi came on board at the CBN). This man never paid back the loans, but he is parading himself in the echelons of world's richest people. Gates and Buffet have no records of borrowing from banks to the point of distressing them without repaying their loans. Dangote is worshiped by everyone in Nigeria including Mr. Goodluck, and the Nigerian media keep him off the hook. Meanwhile, his wealth is the poverty and economic distress of so many citizens.
