In all the talk and hype about the "Port of Lamu" project and the Lamu, Ethiopia, So. Sudan pipeline, road and railway, I read NOTHING about any Environmental Impact Reports and what studies have been done to see that the land, wildlife and the people are not degraded by these mega projects. It is the law to that a serious assessment of Enviromental Impacts are studied BEFORE any construction is approved, if it can be approved at all. Alternatives must also be considered in these EIA reports.
