Study Shows Growing Threat of West Africa Piracy
Incidents of violence against seafarers remain high, according to a new report issued by the International Maritime Bureau. After an 80 percent drop in attacks off the coast of East Africa, more seafarers are now subjected to attacks and boarding by West African piracy than by Somalia-based piracy.
