Zimbabwean elections are nothing but another sham, we all have to play our part in stopping this rigging, no one wants that old fool anymore. When is the killing going to stop.... Zimbabwe Free Classifieds www.inchis.com
Time to call a spade a spade. Still bemoaning lack of electoral reforms five years down the line just shows that Morgan Tsvangirai and the opposition are incompetent. They know not what they are doing. It is time to look for a new captain for the MDC else expect the old excuses (i.e. cries of being cheated out of votes as the insurance policy) to cover their incompetence.
The coalition government (ZANU and MDC partnership) was specifically created to carry out these electoral reforms and prepare the nation for the next election.
Robert Mugabe is surely a nasty piece of work but the opposition’s incompetence is political “manna from heaven” for Mugabe.
Once again British hypocrisy is exposed, this article clearly defines that the 1980 elections which were organised and supervised under the steady hand of lord Soames of the British government were rigged. And now they publish a document asserting how the upcoming elections will be rigged? Is this how they perceive democracy? The concern for Zimbabweans here is it democratic for a white minority to dictate the terms to a black majority in the black majority’s backyard? Can someone please explain why is the British leading a campaign of no confidence in a vote that has not been held, when it is clear that in the last four years they have invested millions in the MDC factions who have failed dismally to perform in government, it is clear that MDC is just as corrupt as ZANU-PF. Is the British setting the stage for mass destabilization of the Zimbabwean nation? Egypt is a bad example of what international influence can do to a country in the name of democracy.

This article is ridiculous and sounds like a press release straight from Downing Street. The rural poor are angry at the MDC, they have not delivered. However, ZANU-PF has carried out "‘the biggest land reform in Africa where 6,000 white farmers have been replaced by 245,000 Zimbabwean farmers... 245,000 new farmers have received land, and most of them are farming it. They have raised their own standard of living; have already reached production levels of the former white farmers; and with a bit of support, are ready to substantially increase that production."
These new farms have brought about a huge number of jobs and development with them and hope for the future. This hope is due to ZANU-PF policies, it'd be a strange rural voter that would think they'd be better off with the MDC. (quote "Zimbabwe Takes Back its Land," a new book co-authored by Joe Hanlon, Jeanette Mangengwa and Teresa Smart).
