Nigerians will never learn. Over-reliance on one source of income is unwise. They have discovered oil in Northern Ghana (the Volta Basin), does that mean that Northern Ghana has now abandoned agriculture? Not at all.
Regardless of the size of the deposit (if viable). It should be managed properly for the betterment of all Nigerians. Not misused for the benefit of a few.
There is no short-cut route to development, it is a long road, and requires planning and discipline, not indiscipline and over-excitement. Other sectors of the economy should not be neglected. We should try and emulate Norway, to see the benefits of a well managed economy that prospers due to oil.
