Credibilty of Zimbabwe Elections Questioned

The Zimbabwe Election Support Network, a coalition of 31 non-governmental organisations monitoring polls in the country since 2000, has said that the election was "seriously compromised". But observers from the Southern African Development Community and the African Union signalled acceptance of the process, despite challenger Morgan Tsvangirai calling the process a "huge farce."

I wander at the audacity of the MDC-T to cry foul at ZANU-PF when they seem to have employed the same tactics. ZANU-PF claimed victory whilst voting was still underway whilst MDC-T some how seems to have now done the same during the first hours of the count. How in a place like Bulawayo (South, Central, Pumula etc) could they have the majority of the votes already yet they are despised there? Bulawayo is a MDC (as in Welshman Ncube) area, they have been too often disappointed by Morgan Tsvangirai's disingenuous and embarrassing behaviour. ZANU-PF, well what can one say.

In Zimbabwean politics I have learnt to be neutral as the leaders disappoint, but I must say if Tsvangirai is already performing like Mugabe, is it not a disappointment? Also, one begins to wander, what were the observers there for. Do they leave straight after the voting but before the counting?

It is a shame the Ndebele people have no fight left in them! It is also a shame the international community is so focused on Tsvangirai winning they don't care how he does it.

I see the Tsvangirai legacy beginning the same way Mugabe's started!!

Kenya's last two presidential elections have to have been such a special inspiration and encouragement to Mugabe. Learn to move on, Zimbabwe! (The farce continues, sadly.)

The devil, thru his agents, namely Obasanjo, Nkosazana Zuma, SADC and AU is pushing for WAR in Zimbabwe. The future of Zimbabwe is now in the hands of its sons and daughters and not these criminals. Sooner or later the people will have the last laugh!
