The procession carrying the body of former president Nelson Mandela is seen on Kgosi Mampuru Street in Pretoria en route to the Union Buildings , where he will be lying in state. Mandela's remains will lie in state at the Union Buildings in Pretoria - the official seat of the South African government - for three days. The memorials and events will culminate in Mandela's burial on December 15 in his boyhood home of Qunu in the Eastern Cape.
