In his popular video blog, What's Up Africa! satirist Ikenna Azuike says he thinks he knows why Russia seems to be rekindling old friendships in Africa. 

And a Zimbabwean blogger likens Presidents Robert Mugabe and Vladimir Putin, saying their portrayals of themselves as paragons of virtue and the heroes of their people are "a charade meant to manage perceptions at the cost of honest political discourse."
