Eritrean Refugees Flee for 'Money and Freedom'

"The number fleeing such a small country - estimated at 5,000 people each month - is forcing the outside world to take notice," according to Mike Smith, Chairperson of the Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in Eritrea.

Araya, an Eritrean refugee living in Birmingham, is trying to reunite with her husband and the father of her two-year-old daughter, but his application was refused.
