Will Burundi Peace Talks Resume on Schedule?

Differences between the government and opposition raise doubts over whether the intra-Burundi dialogue, relaunched under the leadership of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, will resume in Arusha as scheduled on January 6.

President Yoweri Museveni, left, greets former Burundian presidents Jean Baptiste Bagaza, right, Domitien Ndayizeye, second right, Sylvestre Ntibantunganya, and Pierre Buyoya at Entebbe State House, Uganda on December 28, 2015. The four are part of the mediation team aimed at ending months of violence in Burundi.
