Tributes for Veteran South African Journalist Allister Sparks
Allister Sparks, one of South Africa's most renowed journalists and courageous editor, died on Spetember 19. His death was mourned by the South African National Editors' Forum which said he leaves behind a proud legacy of fearless journalism.
His memorial service was held on October 14 at Liliesleaf Farm in the Rivonia area of Johannesburg, where he lived for most of his adult life.
