South African Govt to Compensate Marikana Families

President Jacob Zuma has said the the government is ready to provide compensation to families of the victims of the 2012 Marikana shooting that left 17 people dead. Additionally, charges will be laid against officers while the Department of Mineral Resources warned mining giant Lonmin that its mining rights may be revoked if a compliant housing plan for workers was not produced.
