The country's online newspaper, Freedom, has reported that the commander of President Yahya Jammeh's Republican Guards, General Saul Badjie, has distributed hundreds of military uniforms to fighters arriving from other West African countries.
There are reports that former Liberian fighters are being recruited (file photo).
