Kenya Switches to Thermal Power as Govt Rules Out Loadshedding

The Ministry of Energy said the cost of fuel will rise as the current drought has affected the output of hydro plants like the Seven Forks Dam on Tana River, Sondu-Miriu in western Kenya, and Turkwel Gorge in the northwestern part of the country.
