South Africa's 'Bulldog' State Prosecutor Resigns
June Steenkamp, the mother of Reeva Steenkamp, who was killed by former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, has said she was "devastated" after she learned of the departure of Gerrie Nel from the National Prosecuting Authority. Nel will join Afriforum, a group aimed at promoting white Afrikaner interests, to strengthen its anti-corruption unit and pursue private prosecutions.
