South Africa: Trouble as Top ANC Man Defied at Polls

The ruling African National Congress's Secretary-General Gwede Mantashe has been defied by Andile Lungisa who stood for election in the Nelson Mandela Bay metropolitan area without his endorsement and subsequently won. Lungisa has the support of President Jacob Zuma who congratulated him on his election.
