Morgan Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change and the National People's Party led by President Robert Mugabe's former deputy, Joice Mujuru, have signed a coalition memorandum of understanding to join forces and field a single candidate to challenge Mugabe in next year's presidential race.
