Angola: UN Alarmed By Congolese Refugee Influx

The refugees have been fleeing Kasai violence which erupted when government forces killed a tribal chief and militia leader Kamwina Nsapu.
The Angolan government has created a commission to support Congolese refugees.
The conflict in Kasai began in August 2016 after the customary chief to which the rebels were loyal was killed during clashes with the police. Read more »
Government spokesperson, Lambert Mende, says that the remains of Michael Sharp, Zaida Catalan and Betu Tshintela have been found at a site next to the Moyo River in Kasai province. Read more »
