AfDB Reports on Activities & Impact of Its High 5s Around Africa

The African Development Bank (AfDB)'s Senior Vice-President Charles Boamah and its Acting Vice-President for Finance, Hassatou N'Sele, took the stage during the 2017 AfDB's Annual Meetings in Ahmedabad, India on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, to give a financial presentation of the Bank's operations, financial profile and capital market activities. The Bank also released its 2016 Annual Reports, which showed the roll-out of its High 5s priorities and its new Development and Business Delivery Model (DBDM) delivering a record US $11.02 billion worth of projects and programs during the year 2016. During the 2017 AfDB Annual Meetings held in Ahmedabad, India, AfDB Senior Vice-President Charles Boamah and the Acting Vice-President for Finance, Hassatou N'Sele took the stage to give a financial presentation of the continent's economic outlook, Bank operations, financial profile and capital market activities, noting that the continent recorded an average of 2.2% GDP growth in 2016 compared to 7.1 posted by South Asia powered India against a 2% average for the developed economies.
