Legacy of the Soweto Uprising - South Africa Honours #YouthDay

On 16 June 1976 black students stood against the imposition of Afrikaans as a medium of instruction in schools in what became known as the Soweto Uprising. Youth Day marks this major turning point in the history of the country's liberation struggle.
