Testimony at South African Activist Ahmed Timol's Death Inquest

Ahmed Timol was a teacher, a member of the South African Communist Party and a political activist who was arrested by security police and interrogated at the notorious John Vorster Square police headquarters in Johannesburg. He reportedly "fell" from the 10th floor window of the building on October 27, 1971 and the incident was ruled a suicide. His family always believed he was pushed. The second sitting of the Timol hearing commences today.
