South Africa's AngloGold Ashanti Mine Set to Shed Jobs
Managment of the AngloGold Ashanti mining company has announced that approximately 8,500 jobs will be cut as the company attempts to streamline its operations in South Africa where over 28,000 people, including contractors are employed.
