New Book Examines How Ex-Nigerian President Fared on Militants

The newly-released book "Boko Haram Media War: An Encounter with the Spymaster" lists over 25 major towns and cities recaptured by the military during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan before the final handover to President Mohammed Buhari. The book has been attacked by the current presidency over a claim in its foreword by former national security adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, that Jonathan cleared the northeast of Boko Haram terrorists to make elections possible in 2015.
