New Twist in Power Battle in Tanzanian Opposition Party

The battle for the soul of the opposition Civic United Front has reached a critical point, write John Namkwahe and Bakari Kiango of The Citizen. The National Electoral Commission has appointed eight members of the party as new Special Seats MPs. The development comes after embattled party chairman  Professor Ibrahim Lipumba axed eight MPs for misconduct.
