South Africans Seek $U.S.4.5 Billion in Damages Over Repossession

The Lungelo Lethu Human Rights Foundation is the driving force behind a R60 billion suit from more than 225 applicants, mostly from Gauteng townships, against several major banking firms for their allegedly unlawful repossession of homes since the Constitution came into effect in 1994.
