The government has approved U.S.$5.8 billion for the construction of the 3,050 megawatts Mambilla Hydro-Power project at Gembu in Taraba. Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, says that the project, if completed, could provide a much-needed source of energy for Nigeria.
