South African Official Brokers Truce with Hout Bay Protesters

Western Cape Community Safety MEC Dan Plato has welcomed the cessation of violent protest action in Hangberg, Hout Bay as negotiations over looming fishing quotas begin. This comes as the Independent Police Investigative Directorate confirmed a probe into the shooting of a 14-year-old boy by officers during the demonstrations.
