Judge Motsamai Makume has granted President Jacob Zuma a stay in immediately implementing a judicial commission of inquiry into alleged state capture, a recommendation made by former public protector Thuli Madonsela. This comes after official opposition party the Democratic Alliance argued that Zuma should establish the commission as he is bound to do so by the Constitution.
