Ugandan President Explains Why He Needs More Time

President Yoweri Museveni - who is 73 - has reportedly said he has a "mission to accomplish" and this is why he wants parliament to scrap constitutional age limits for presidential candidates over the age of 75. The Observer reports that before an October 13 caucus meeting, Museveni spent the entire week meeting groups of ruling party MPs to rally support for a bill which faces a tide of public opposition.
