Nigerian Labour Union Faults Governor's Plan to Sack Teachers

The national president of the union, Ibrahim Khaleed, has criticised the competency test, alleging that dead and retired teachers are among those who passed the test. More than 22,000 teachers are facing the sack after failing competency tests designed for primary schoolchildren.
