Kenyatta Sworn in as Kenya's President for Final Term

Uhuru Kenyatta has taken the oath of office and oath of due execution of office as president after winning the October 26 repeat election in which his long-time rival National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga refused to run. He has pledged to reach out to all leaders stating that his second term will focus on strengthening ties that bind Kenyans and universal health care. His deputy William Ruto has similarly taken both oaths, with the crowd chanting, "2022" as he was introduced.
