Rural South African Community Develops Solar-Powered Network

A research team from the University of the Western Cape has worked with residents of Mankosi in the Eastern Cape, to develop a solar-powered wireless network, turning the remote community into the country's first and only Internet service provider owned and run by a rural cooperative.
