Men Invade Nigerian Senate Plenary, Run Away With Mace

The Senate has accused a lawmaker, Ovie Omo-Agege, of leading hoodlums to seize the mace. The men were supporters of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who was suspended last week. The mace is the symbol of authority in the National Assembly without which no decision can be reached on the floor of the legislature.
