Africa Mourns Philip Tabane the Guitarist Who Played for the Soul

Legendary musician and guitarist Philip Tabane is remembered by his fans as a "musical genius" and his music referred to as a "spiritual experience." He died at the age of 84 at a Mamelodi hospital in Pretoria. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the South African Music Awards in 1998.  Tabane was well-known for his hit songs Nkupi and Muvhango.
