The Kenya Red Cross Society says that some of the flood-affected counties include Turkana, Marsabit, Samburu and , Elgeyo-Marakwet, with Tana River and Kilifi counties being among the worst hit. Appeals for humanitarian assistance have been received from residents whose homes were destroyed in the floods.
