Licence Granted for Zimbabwe Women Microfinance Bank

The Zimbabwe Women Microfinance Bank Limited, under the Ministry of Women's Affairs, Gender and Community Development, is set to open its doors after the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe authorised its operations and issued it with a licence. The bank is the first of its kind in Southern Africa and will cater for all women, including those in rural areas who are the primary target, a government official has said.
