Govt Lifts Ban on Meat Imports From South Africa

Tanzania has lifted the ban on imports of meat from South Africa after Tanzania Food and Drugs Authority (TFDA) prohibited the importation of meat and its products in March 2018 following an outbreak of listeriosis epidemic in South Africa. The TFDA said the three factories which produced products that triggered the outbreak of the disease will not be allowed to export their products to Tanzania.
