Nigerian Govt to Borrow U.S.$4,4 Billion for 2018 Budget Deficit

The Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, says the government will borrow U.S.$4,4 billion to finance part of the 2018 budget signed by President Muhammadu Buhari. The government has said that the bulk of the funding will come from the expected increase in oil and gas revenue as well as other independent revenue strategies it plans to adopt during the year.
