Uganda's Winnie Byanyima Appointed as New Director of UNAIDS
The UN programme dedicated to the elimination of Aids has welcomed the appointment of Winnie Byanyima as its new executive director. Byanyima began her career as a champion of marginalised communities and women 30 years ago as a member of parliament in the National Assembly of Uganda.
