South Africa’s Master KG Wins MTV Europe Music Award

The Jerusalem hitmaker has yet another reason to celebrate after bagging a big international award. Master KG won the Best African Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards. He was nominated alongside fellow South African artists DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small, as well as Nigeria's Burna Boy and Rema, Uganda's Sheebah, and Democratic Republic of Congo's Gaz Mawete. Burna Boy won in the category last year. Since its release, Jerusalema has become a global phenomenon, even inspiring its own dance challenge.
