The Security Council established the United Nations Operation in Burundi (ONUB) for an initial period of six months as from 1 June, and requested me to report on developments every three months, including on the implementation of the Arusha Agreement and the execution of the Operation’s mandate. The present report was prepared pursuant to that resolution and covers major developments since my report of 16 March 2004 on the situation in Burundi (S/2004/210).
