In its fifth report, the Anti-Censorship Programme noted that was pleased to announce that there was progress in regards to some of the matters in which it have intervened in the recent past. These matters relate mainly to cases of the state's use of legal mechanisms to frustrate the work of social movements, as well as the unlawful use of force by police officers to disperse peaceful gatherings and demonstrations of people exercising their right to express themselves publicly.
