It has emerged that thousands of teachers from various districts around the country went for their Christmas holidays without receiving their December salaries. The effected teachers mostly from upcountry districts are reported to have missed their salaries due to a technical fault on the new electronic pay out system used by the ministry of Public Service. Officials from the ministry of Public Service however say the anomaly has been rectified and the effected teachers will be paid all their dues by the twenty eighth of this month.
