Victor Bout, the arms dealer who supplied arms to many African fighting forces, sometimes supplying both sides, was jailed for 25 years in a New York Court on April 5, 2012. However, the case arose from a sting operation in which he agreed to sell weapons to Colombian guerillas to kill Americans.
Al  Jazeera's Barnaby Phillips reports that many believe there are "hundreds of Victor Bouts still out there".
