Preparations for the forthcoming general election are in top gear, despite anxiety and dissenting opinion over the march 4th 2013 election date announced by the independent electoral and boundaries commission.

The electoral body disclosed that it had pegged its preparations on the election date it announced, but reiterated that it was ready to conduct a free, fair and transparent election, if the date was moved earlier through the available constitutional means.
