Kenya: ICC Rejects Uhuru, Muthaura Plea

The international criminal court's appeals chamber has rejected an appeal lodged by Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and former head of public service Francis Muthaura to be heard in person by The Hague based court. The judges ruled that they have enough material to make a ruling and therefore did not need to hear the 2 post election violence suspects orally. While defending their ruling, the judges argued that hearing both parties orally would not only be unnecessary but also affect the expeditious resolution of the appeal. Chris Thairu reports.
