Kenya Power Gets World Bank Funding

Electricity consumers should anticipate a drop in their electricity bills after Kenya Power Company hinted at a further reduction in the fuel adjustment cost at the end of this month.

Kenya Power Managing Director Joseph Njoroge has also forecast a steady decline in the cost of power as the country gradually phases out diesel powered generators.

Njoroge was speaking during the signing of a 17 billion shillings dollar denominated loan with the world bank's private sector financing arm-ifc to improve electricity supply.
